Upakarma is a sacred annual observance held on Shravana Purnima, the full moon day of the holy month of Shravana. On this auspicious occasion, those initiated through Upanayana perform prescribed Vedic rites, renew their sacred thread (Yajnopavita), and offer reverence to the ancient Rishis through dedicated oblations and prayers.

Here is online opportunity to perform Upakarma, annual ritual for those who have undergone Upanayana ceremonially change their sacred thread and offer oblations to the Rishis. The online process will be led by Panditji Shri Sudhakar Sastryji from Montreal.

Prerequisite: People who have undergone the Upanayanam ceremony (thread ceremony) earlier.

Time: 10.30 am to 12.00 noon ETD
